GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The Democratic National Committee's "Middle Class Under the Bus" tour is heading through Michigan ahead of Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney's visit to the state.

Democrats planned events Monday in Grand Rapids, Lansing and Detroit.

Romney's visit to Michigan on Tuesday is part of a campaign swing by bus. The former Massachusetts governor and Michigan native is planning rally at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, a stop in DeWitt at the Sweetie-licious Bakery Cafe and a rally at Holland State Park in southwestern Michigan.

Romney also plans to attend fundraisers Wednesday in Grand Rapids and Troy.

Romney's six-state "Every Town Counts" tour began Friday.

The Democratic National Committee's own bus tour has been going through the same states Romney is visiting ahead of time.
