A gubernatorial receiving line is scheduled afterward inside the Capitol.
A public event is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing.
An inaugural celebration requiring a $125 ticket to attend is set for 8 p.m. at Michigan State University's Wharton Center in East Lansing.
The events will be paid for through private donations and ticket sales.
Past inaugural events in Michigan often have included several cities over multiple days.
Snyder will be Michigan's 48th governor.
