Michigan voters to see long ballot

Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The ballot Michigan voters will see on Tuesday is busier and longer than statewide ballots in recent elections. When you're done with all the conventional voting - president, senate, state house, statewide ballot issues -- you're not quite halfway done.

The ballot continues on both sides, and in some locales the ballot continues onto a second page with what are called non-partisan issues.

But Grand Rapids City Clerk Lauri Parks reminds voters they can bring in their own notes to help them vote.

So if you have studied the candidates, the issues and the proposals, you can make notes for yourself and take them with you when you vote.

In Michigan, the polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
