GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A statewide poll from EPIC-MRA shows many remain undecided on the Michigan ballot proposals.
Proposal 1 is a referendum on Public Act 4 of 2011, called the emergency manager law. Of the respondents, 35% would vote Yes to continue the law, 43% would vote no to repeal the law with 4% saying they won't vote on this proposal at all. The remaining 18% are undecided.
Proposal 4 would amend the Michigan constitution to establish the Michigan Quality Home Care Council and preserve a collective bargaining agreement for in-home care workers that is otherwise set to expire.
By a slim 44-42 margin, more respondents said they would vote No than Yes, with another 3% saying they won't vote at all on this proposal. The remaining 11% are undecided.
The poll, conducted on behalf of WOOD TV8 and our media partners, was taken Oct. 26-29 of 600 active and likely voters. It has a cell phone participation rate of 20% and a margin of error of 4%.
