GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - David Joos is in favor of finding newer, cleaner ways to generate power, but warns that having balance in such a plan is important to keep the cost from skyrocketing.
Joos has a stake in this discussion. He is the president and CEO of CMS Energy, better known as Consumers Energy . The company delivers service to about 6.5 million people in Michigan, and has plans for a new coal-fired generating plant waiting for approval.
CMS is also under a mandate from legislation passed in 2008 to produce an increasing amount of energy from alternative or renewable sources.
Joos will be a guest on To The Point on June 14.
To The Point is pre-empted on June 7 due to French Open tennis coverage on WOOD TV8.
