MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) - Prosecutors in Michigan's Upper Peninsula have rested their case in the trial of two people accused of plotting to extort $680,000 from actor John Stamos.
Six FBI agents testified Wednesday, including specialists in computers and cell phones.
Allison Coss and Scott Sippola of Marquette are charged with conspiracy and two counts of extortion. They're accused of demanding money from Stamos in exchange for unflattering photos. The FBI says the pictures don't exist.
Jurors could get the case Thursday.
Defense lawyers have portrayed Stamos as a promiscuous drug user -- allegations he denied while testifying. Federal agents emphatically denied destroying evidence after a sting operation to snare the defendants.
The "Full House" and "ER" star is preparing to join the Fox show "Glee."
