MANISTIQUE, Mich. (AP) - An agreement has been reached to sell a paper mill that's operated in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for about 90 years.
WLUC-TV reports MPI Acquisition LLC plans to purchase the assets of Manistique Papers Inc., which filed for bankruptcy protection last year.
Terms of the sale, which could wrap up by next month, haven't been disclosed.
The plant temporarily shut down in August after the bankruptcy filing but reopened in September. Plans call for the plant to keep operating.
Manistique, population 3,300, is on the shore of Lake Michigan, 90 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge.
