COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) - A man suffered serious injuries after a vehicle struck him as he crossed a street in Branch County.
Coldwater police were dispatched at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday to the scene at E. Chicago Street and Michigan Avenue.
Larry Carl was crossing on the north side of Chicago Street and the vehicle was traveling north on Michigan Avenue, according to a news release.
Life Flight transported Carl, 53, from Coldwater, to a Kalamazoo hospital
The driver of the car -- John Starr of Coldwater -- was not hurt.
Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash, according to Mark Bartell, director of Coldwater Public Safety Department.
Witnesses are asked to call police at 517.278.4525 to help with the investigation, which continues.
