LAWRENCE, Mich. (WOOD) - Three people are accused of manufacturing methamphetamine at a residence in Van Buren County.

No arrests have been made at this time, as the investigation is ongoing, and once it is completed the above charges will be sought against these people --

  • A 51-year-old man from Lawrence could face charges of operating/maintaining a methamphetamine lab, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and maintaining a drug house

  • A 38-year-old woman from Paw Paw could face charges of operating/maintaining a methamphetamine lab and frequenting a drug house

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit received information regarding methamphetamine manufacturing taking place in the 1000 block of N. Paw Paw Street in Lawrence.

Detectives talked with the resident and others in the home around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives then searched the residence and found an active one-pot meth lab reaction vessel, additional items/components/materials/chemicals used to manufacture meth, a small amount of marijuana, and marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Evidence of previous incidents of meth manufacturing was found in the detached garage, as well as five old, one-pot meth lab reaction vessels, nine HCL gas generators, and items/components/materials/chemicals used in the manufacturing of meth

Then around 4:15 p.m., the Narcotics Unit was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Maple Street in Hartford to assist the Hartford Police Department regarding a meth bust.

That is where a 26-year-old man was arrested on a charge of operating/maintaining a methamphetamine lab.

The police department was originally investigating an unrelated incident and came across what they believed to be a possible meth lab, according to a news release.

Two active one-pot meth lab vessels, five HCL gas generators, and chemicals and components used in the manufacturing of meth were found in the basement of the residence.
