THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) - Two police departments combined their efforts to solve a robbery case within an hour.
The Three Rivers Police Department received a 911 call just after midnight Wednesday regarding an armed robbery at the Admiral gas station in town.
Officers responded and were given descriptions of the suspect and his getaway vehicle.
St. Joseph County sheriff's deputies and Constantine police officers joined in the search, according to a news release.
About 20 minutes later, Constantine officers spotted a vehicle matching the suspect's vehicle.
A traffic stop was conducted and officers talked to two people inside the suspect's vehicle.
Three Rivers officers then obtained a digital image of the suspect and helped Constantine officers determine that both people in the suspect's vehicle were involved in the robbery.
Police found evidence, including stolen money, connected to the crime, and arrested the two suspects -- a 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, both from Centreville.
