SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Police were able to track down a woman who they say caused a collision involving her SUV and a motorcycle, and then fled the scene.

The 41-year-old woman from Dowagiac was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (third offense), leaving the scene of a personal injury crash and driving while license suspended.

The wreck occurred at 10:49 p.m. Wednesday near M-51 and M-152 in Silver Creek Township in Cass County.

An SUV driven by a 41-year-old woman from Dowagiac struck a motorcycle driven by Zachary Cox 21 yrs of Dowagiac head-on.

The suspect was driving north when her vehicle crossed over into the motorcyclist's lane and hit him head-on, according to a news release.

The motorcyclist -- 21-year-old Zachary Cox from Dowagiac -- was wearing a helmet at the time, and taken to a hospital.

Cass County detectives found the suspect in Van Buren County.
