COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) - Police have arrested two people for allegedly burglarizing between 100 and 150 homes during a 12- to 14-month period in at least eight counties.

The crimes have occurred during the day in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Hillsdale, Ingham and Ionia counties, according to a news release.

Michigan State Police detectives became aware of the suspects and their vehicle after analyzing information from numerous police reports and victims.

The suspects were identified and the Coldwater State Police Post utilized numerous resources for surveillance, leading to the eventual arrests.

Hundreds of items of stolen property -- that the suspects had in their possession -- were recovered.

The value of recovered and stolen items is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.
