PARK, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were injured when their vehicles collided at a St. Joseph County intersection.

Sandy Miller was driving west on Michigan Avenue and slowed down to start turning south onto Parkville Road, according to a police news release.

A trailing vehicle driven by John Moore tried to pass Miller's vehicle on the left, police said, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Both drivers were transported to a hospital around 3:16 p.m. Tuesday for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said alcohol and speed were not factors in the wreck north of Three Rivers.

Moore, from Portage, and Miller, from Vicksburg, wore their seat belts.
