SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - Several fire departments battled a four-alarm blaze at D&L Warehouse in South Haven late Tuesday morning.
The facility at 485 73 1/2 Street is just off Phoenix Road at I-196, behind the Arby's restaurant.
Firefighters cut a hole in the building's roof to release smoke and super-heated gasses, and to lessen the dangers for other firefighters inside.
There were flames between two layers of the roof, officials at the scene told 24 Hour News 8.
By 2 p.m. the fire appeared under control and fire officials were clearing the scene.
