LA GRANGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Several people were injured when two vehicles collided at a Cass County intersection.

William Reed, 57, from New York, and his 20-year-old son, William Reed, also of New York, were traveling north on Dailey Road and proceeded into the intersection of Pokagon Highway with oncoming traffic.

An eastbound vehicle driven by Jason Weber, 35, from Dowagiac, collided with the Reeds' vehicle in the La Grange Township community on July 13.

Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene at 5:15 p.m.

A medical helicopter flew his the elder Reed to Memorial Hospital of South Bend where he is critical condition.

His son was transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital and later released.

Personal vehicles took Weber and his children to a hospital where the victims were treated and released.

An ambulance took another of Weber's passengers -- 25-year-old Erika Weber of Dowagiac -- to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac where she was then transferred to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo for further treatment. She is in stable condition.

Everybody involved wore their seat belts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, police said.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
