ALGANSEE, Mich. (WOOD) - A tuber remains hospitalized -- and one person is jailed -- after a water accident on Bartholomew Lake in Branch County on Saturday.
Around 8:45 p.m., the person on the tube was being pulled behind a water vessel when the driver got too close to shore. The tuber hit a person on a raft and was thrown from the tube.
The tuber was pulled from the water by nearby residents and provided care until emergency personnel arrived. The tuber was airlifted to Bronson Hospital, and no condition is known at this time.
The driver of the water vessel tried to hide from deputies, but was found at a nearby home. He was arrested for operating the water vessel under the influence.
No names have been released as the investigation continues.
