ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police investigators say a person they want to talk to about a homicide in Antwerp Township last month is in a Georgia jail.
The shooting happened during a party at the Antwerp Township Hall near Mattawan on Feb. 17. MSP is not releasing many details about the suspect in that shooting.
Investigators will only confirm the person of interest -- who is not considered a suspect at this time -- was arrested near Atlanta on an absconding from parole charge out of Michigan.
Target 8 investigators did some digging and found 25-year-old Daniel Williams in the DeKalb Georgia County Jail on an absconder charge out of Kalamazoo County. He was taken into custody Monday.
Ricardo Parker of Kalamazoo died after a large party put on by a social group that had rented space at the Antwerp Township Hall got out of hand. A fight broke out and then shots were fired. A 29-year-old Battle Creek man was severely beaten following the shooting.
The person of interest will be soon be returned to Michigan.
