GALIEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A natural gas leak has forced school officials in a southwestern Michigan district to cancel classes for the day.
The Berrien County sheriff's department issued a statement on behalf of Galien Township Schools saying the leak happened Monday before students arrived. By later Monday morning, the statement said, the leak had been repaired.
The district says a parent event planned for Monday evening will be rescheduled.
