UNION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist was injured after his motorcycle collided into the back of a tractor on a Branch County road.
It happened on Dunks Road west of Arbogast Road in Union Township at 7:10 p.m. Thursday.
Clayton Boston, 70, from Union City was driving a tractor and Frederick Turgeon, 65, from Union City was driving a motorcycle both eastbound.
Both men told police an oncoming vehicle had its bright lights on.
Turgeon said after that other vehicle passed by, he saw the reflective triangle on the back of the tractor, and it was too late to avoid a collision, according to a news release.
The motorcycle struck the garden disc attached to the rear of the tractor, and Turgeon lost control and was thrown off his bike, police said.
Turgeon was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
