GRAND JUNCTION, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman accused has entered into a plea deal in the death of her adult son, who had autism.
Yodi Jackson of Grand Junction pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter last week.
She was originally charged with first-degree homicide and second-degree vulnerable adult abuse in Van Buren County July 2012.
Her 25-year-old son Chad Jackson died in 2011, but the investigation didn't rule his death a crime until the summer of 2012.
Court records show Jackson failed to her son with proper nutrition, hydration and medical care.
