THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD/AP) - Authorities in southwestern Michigan have released the name of a man who died following a methamphetamine lab explosion.
WLKM-FM reports David Loach was injured in the garage of his home from the Monday blast in Three Rivers. Authorities had said the 30-year-old died the next day.
Investigators say they found evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing in the garage in the 100 block of S. Andrews Street.
The Three Rivers Police Department continues to search for someone who fled the scene after the explosion. He is described as a white male; 30 to 35 years old; 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall; having facial hair; a goatee; short, reddish-blonde hair; and last seen wearing blue jeans and an unknown colored T-shirt.
He could face charges of manufacturing and distribution of meth.
