PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people could face numerous charges in connection with a drug bust in Van Buren County.

The 25-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from Paw Paw, have not been arrested. But they could be charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

It was about 5 p.m. Wednesday when members of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, sheriff's office Uniform Response Division and Paw Paw Police Department went to 624 Elm St. in Paw Paw.

That is where authorities say the two people in question were manufacturing and distributing medical marijuana. Detectives obtained a search warrant and seized a small indoor grow operation with four marijuana plants in a bedroom closet, about 2.8 pounds of processed marijuana, THC gel capsules, scales, paraphernalia, prescription drugs, packaging materials and $380 in cash.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 269.657.3101, Crime Stoppers at 1.800.342.7867 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
