COLOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people are in the Berrien County Jail accused in connection with a major drug bust.

Dennis Dickson, 66, from Coloma Township was arrested on charges of manufacturing marijuana over 200 plants, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and maintaining a drug house.

Emily Jacobs, 66, from Coloma Township was arrested on charges of maintaining a drug house.

For about the past five months, the Berrien County Sheriff's Department's Narcotics Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Violent Crimes Task Force have been conducting a joint investigation into suspected marijuana manufacturing at 127 E. Center Street in Coloma.

Authorities executed a search warrant at 8 a.m. Tuesday for illegal narcotics at that location, which was a warehouse-type building, and at a residence in the 4700 block of Paw Paw Lake Road.

Authorities seized from the warehouse --

  • 206 live marijuana plants with a street value of $206,000
  • Processed marijuana with a street value of $1,000
  • Numerous pieces of electrical equipment, such as grow lights, which were used to assist in the growth of the plants

Authorities seized a small amount of processed marijuana from the residence.
