2 men hurt when 2 cars collide head-on

Police: Seat belts used and alcohol not factor

HOWARD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two men were injured when their vehicles collided head-on in Cass County.

Police and rescue personnel were dispatched at 9:19 a.m. Thursday to the crash on M-60 near Burn Lynd Street in Howard Township.

Nicholas Mathias, 24, from Niles, was driving northeast when an oncoming vehicle, exiting a curve, crossed into his lane, resulting in the collision, police said.

Firefighters extricated Mathias from his vehicle.

Michael Milewski, 25, from Niles, was driving the other vehicle.  

Both men were treated at the scene and Mathais was transported by to a hospital for further treatment.  

Seat belts were used and alcohol was not a factor in the wreck, police said.

This case remains under investigation.
