DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Four people were arrested following a home invasion in Van Buren County.
Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched around 7:35 p.m. Feb. 8 to investigate the incident at a residence on 89th Avenue west of M-51 in Decatur Township.
A suspect was identified and located. When police talked to the suspect it was determined the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, according to a news release. The suspect was arrested on a home invasion charge.
Authorities searched the area and arrested three other people on unrelated charges. One person was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm; another for possession of methamphetamine; and the third for absconding from parole and a misdemeanor warrant for defrauding an innkeeper from the Coloma Township Police Department.
Van Buren County sheriff's deputies and Decatur police officers assisted in the case.
