MOTTVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A bank deposit was stolen from a gas station clerk as he closed the business and walked to his vehicle, police said.
The clerk closed Stop-N-Go around 11:15 p.m. Monday and walked to his vehicle when a gun-wielding, ski-masked stranger confronted him, police said.
The suspect forced the clerk inside the Mottville Township store at 10269 W. Chicago Dr. (U.S. 12) and demanded the business' bank deposit, according to a police news release.
The suspect then ordered the clerk to the ground, stole the deposit and fled the scene, police said.
The clerk was not injured during the incident in St. Joseph County.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man, possibly in his early 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, having a thin build and weighing about 160 pounds.
