Driver,on meth, caught with meth in car

One suspect was on parole for past meth charges

ALMENA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two Decatur men are in jail awaiting charges after deputies found meth and meth making material in a car the two men were in.

Around 10:50 p.m. Friday, sheriff deputies on patrol saw a car that was driving erratically on County Road 653 in Almena Township.  

After pulling the car over and talking with the two men inside, deputies noticed drugs laying on the floorboard of the car. Deputies found various bags of methamphetamine and other components to make methamphetamine in the car.

The deputies arrested the two men in the car and was determined that the driver was driving under the influence of meth.  One of two suspects was on parole for a prior methamphetamine related charge.  

The vehicle the drugs were in, money, and other drug related items were seized. The two suspects, a 45-year-old and 38-year-old men from Decatur, will be arraigned on various meth-related charges in a few days.
