SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - Firefighters had to endure temperatures well into the 90s to fight a house fire in South Haven.
The blaze was reported Wednesday afternoon on County Road 380. When firefighters arrived on scene, the first floor was engulfed in flames.
They were first told someone was inside, but they eventually learned the person who lives there was out of town.
Four dogs were killed in the fire.
Investigators believe the blaze was accidental.
Crews from Covert, Bangor, Columbia and Ganges fire departments aided South Haven firefighters.
