PAW PAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The Michigan State Police has released a sketch of a man accused in two break-ins tied together through DNA evidence.

The first incident occurred Dec. 12, 2005 in the 36000 block of 52nd Avenue in Paw Paw Township in Van Buren County. The suspect broke into the residence and was chased out by the owner, according to a news release. The suspect left behind evidence tying him to the second incident, police said.

The second incident occurred July 26, 2012 in the 28000 block of S. Shore Drive in Almena Township, also in Van Buren County. The suspect broke into the garage of a vacation home and tried to steal some motorcycles, police said. A neighbor came to the scene and the suspect fled, leaving behind evidence tying him to the first incident.

A Michigan State Police forensic artist sketched a drawing of the suspect from the 2005 incident and police released the drawing on Friday.

Despite the suspect's appearance possibly changing throughout the years, police would like anybody who recognizes him to call Michigan State Police at 269.657.5551, Crime Stoppers at 1.800.342.7867 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
