BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two drivers were injured when one of the vehicles crossed into the path of the other on a Berrien County road.
Witnesses told police a car was northbound on M-139 near Diller Road in Benton Township when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck a pickup truck.
The truck overturned and ended off the road after the collision around 4:14 p.m. Tuesday. The car also sustained extensive damage.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 48-year-old man from Berrien Springs.
The driver of the car was a 63-year-old man from St. Joseph.
Both victims were transported to a hospital but the extent of their injuries is unknown.
The cause of the wreck is still being investigated.
The road was closed during the investigation and reopened around 7:51 p.m., according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
