HARTFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Four people were killed after a three vehicle crash Saturday evening in Hartford Township.
According to Van Buren County officials, the accident occurred on CR 687, also known as 64th Street, at the intersection of 66th Ave in Hartford Township.
Authorities say three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation shows that a van going eastbound on 66th Ave went through a stop sign and hit a white Buick going southbound on CR 687. The Buick was pushed over the center line and into the path of a truck going northbound on CR 687.
Four people in the white Buick were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was injured in the crash and the driver of the van was uninjured.
Names of the people involved in the crash have not been released at this time, but did say the victims in the Buick were between the ages of late 30s - 50s.
Van Buren Sheriff deputies are investigating the accident and Hartford Police are assisting the deputies.
