GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A professional search for Venus Stewart's body across from her in-law's St. Joseph County home Thursday morning yielded no signs of the woman missing and now presumed dead.
But the Michigan State Police plan to alert hunters about specific things to look for that may help find her.
With hunting season beginning, professional searches may become difficult, Lt. Mike Risko told 24 Hour News 8. That's why they hope to enlist the help of hunters.
The information on what, specifically, to look for will be released Friday or early next week.
Venus Stewart disappeared from her parents' Colon Township home early in the morningof April 26. Her estranged husband, Doug Stewart, is charged with her murder.
His murder trial is scheduled to begin October 29 at the St. Joseph County courthouse in Centreville.
