Fisherman found dead in Baldwin Lake

PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich (WOOD) - An Indiana man is dead after an apparent drowning in Baldwin
Lake in Cass County's Porter Township.
Larry Bontrager, 59, of Middleberry, Indiana was staying at
a cottage on the lake and went fishing around 11:30 a.m.
Saturday.
He was discovered in the water near his boat around 3:15 p.m.
and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he was pronounced
dead.
Police say he was not wearing a life jacket and the incident
remains under investigation.
