Fisherman found dead in Baldwin Lake

An Indiana man is dead after an apparent drowning in Baldwin Lake in Cass County's Porter Township.
Larry Bontrager, 59, of Middleberry, Indiana was staying at a cottage on the lake and went fishing around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
He was discovered in the water near his boat around 3:15 p.m. and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say he was not wearing a life jacket and the incident remains under investigation.
