GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A federal judge has ordered Jose Castillo aka Raul Castillo be extradited back to Mexico to face murder charges, court documents show.
Castillo is wanted for beheading his pregnant wife in Mexico in 2001.
Investigators say he murdered his wife and their unborn child, cutting her head off with a machete and stuffing her body in a suitcase.
Then then allegedly fled back to the United State with their daughter.
He was found in Berrien County after being convicted of raping a former wife. He is in a Muskegon prison serving an 8-to-15 year prison sentence.
Castillo is an American citizen. The wife who was murdered was a Mexican citizen.
