Brockovich ill, skips West Michigan
Contamination in Fennville, Paw Paw the focus

PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) - Erin Brockovich is ill, skipping two days she had planned to spend in West Michigan talking with residents about two separate water contamination areas.
On Monday, Brockovich was scheduled to talk with people who live near the Coca-Cola Minute Maid plant in Paw Paw before returning to Fennville over the contamination allegedly from the Birds Eye plant.
Instead, others spoke about the investigation into contaminated wells near the plant.
"We know that there are wells that are contaminated," attorney Bill Stapleton said. "It appears that Coke is the responsible party of that contamination, and we're still in the investigation stage."
Brockovich was in Paw Paw in April.
No word if or when the environmental activist will come to West Michigan next.
