PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities have located an 80-year-old woman with dementia who disappeared from the Paw Paw area.

Michigan State Police troopers found Joyce Johnston at the Dollar Tree store in South Haven after receiving a tip she had checked into a Comfort Suites hotel Monday afternoon and was en route to a bus station.

Johnston has a history of disappearing due to her advanced dementia. She was found in Chicago five days ago after a previous incident.

In this latest incident, Johnston disappeared Monday morning from Glendale Grocery north of Paw Paw, according to MSP. She had been seen asking for rides to the "train station in South Haven."

MSP troopers, a K-9 unit and an MSP helicopter searched for Johnston Monday.
