MORENCI, Mich. (AP) - Police in southern Michigan have produced three public service announcements to spread the word about three young brothers who have been missing since Thanksgiving.
The videos describe the circumstances surrounding the boys' disappearance and ask viewers to search their properties -- especially abandoned structures, ravines and other waterways -- for signs of them, The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press reported.
The boys' father John Skelton, 39, of Morenci, located near the Ohio border, faces kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment charges in the case.
The Morenci Police Department said Thursday that it planned to post the videos online, and asks that others do the same.
Skelton has said he doesn't know the whereabouts of 9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner, who were last seen with him. He has repeated a claim that he gave his sons to an "organization," which hasn't been identified. Police don't believe him.
Hundreds of people have searched woods and waters in Ohio and Michigan. In February, Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks, concerned that people had false hope of the boys' return, said the case had turned into a homicide investigation.
Skelton is jailed on $90 million bond.
