GROVELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Suburban Detroit authorities say divers have found the body of a man who disappeared in a lake while apparently fishing on the ice.
The Oakland County sheriff's department says it appears that the 63-year-old man was fishing Monday on Hartwick Lake in Groveland Township, about 35 miles north-northwest of Detroit. It says authorities found the Rose Township man's truck near the lake.
Authorities found fishing gear on the ice near a large hole and in the water.
The department says divers searched Monday and resumed searching Tuesday, finding the body about 1 p.m.
Authorities withheld his name pending positive identification.
In nearby Waterford Township, firefighters rescued two men who fell through the ice Tuesday morning on Scott Lake. One man was hospitalized, and a firefighter sustained a hand injury.
In West Michigan, two people were saved after falling through the ice in separate incidents.
