WARREN, Mich. (AP) - Suburban Detroit police say body parts have been recovered from a sewer pipe.
A sanitation crew working on the sewer in Warren made the discovery Thursday morning.
Warren police Detective Sgt. Steve Mills says the two pieces of human flesh are being analyzed at the Macomb County medical examiner's office.
Mills says the pieces each are about four inches square and "look like they were pretty precisely cut -- not hacked."
County officials say the site where the two body parts were found is about 85 feet underground and about five miles from a spot in Sterling Heights where 10 body parts were found in August.
So far, it's unknown whom the parts come from.
