DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit public health department is expected to get more than $3.2 million in federal funding for HIV treatment and prevention.
The money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was announced Wednesday by Democratic Congressman John Conyers of Michigan.
Conyers says urban areas such as Detroit are in urgent need of resources to help in the fight against the virus that causes AIDS.
