LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska state troopers have arrested three Michigan residents and seized more than 700 pounds of marijuana.
The State Patrol said Tuesday that a trooper stopped an eastbound sport utility vehicle on Monday for speeding on Interstate 80 in north Lincoln.
A drug dog taken to the scene alerted to the smell of drugs coming from a camper the SUV had been towing.
The patrol says 34 bales of marijuana were found in the camper, totaling 727 pounds.
The street value was estimated at $750,000.
The patrol says the driver, 54-year-old Anthony Laws, and two passengers, 43-year-old Stuart Howard and 40-year-old Sarah McGee, were arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession with intent to deliver.
All three are from Detroit.
