GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was ejected from her vehicle and dragged by it during a two-vehicle collision in Ottawa County, police said.
Police said Melanie Ward, 56, from Jenison was not properly wearing a seat belt.
She turned her vehicle from Georgetown Center Drive onto eastbound Baldwin Street in Georgetown Township and collided with a westbound vehicle about 12:29 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Ward was ejected, dragged along the road and pinned under the car, police said.
Passersby rushed to Ward's aid. She was later taken to Saint Mary's Health Care in Grand Rapids where she is in stable condition.
The other driver -- 24-year-old William Rutgers from Hudsonville -- was not injured.
