Woman, 60, pinned in after car rolls

2 vehicles collided at 68th and Fillmore streets

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was injured after her car rolled over an landed on its side against a tree Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of 68th and Fillmore streets in Allendale Township.

Authorities say a westbound vehicle tried to go around a semi-truck that was turning off Fillmore onto 68th and struck a vehicle that was turning east onto Fillmore.

The first vehicle rolled, skidded across traffic and landed against a tree.

Joan Baumann, 60, of Holland was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. She was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle, Kayla Kempenaar, was not hurt.
