HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Beach-goers caught sight of waterspouts over Lake Michigan on Friday.
The spouts formed near Holland State Park around 3 p.m., according to a park worker. The worker said the spouts are no longer out over the lake.
The National Weather Service says waterspouts are similar to tornados over water and can be broken into two categories: fair weather waterspouts and tornadic waterspouts.
Several viewers sent in photos of the waterspouts using ReportIt.
