CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 48-year-old Fruitport man is dead after he drove his vehicle off the road and into a ravine early Saturday morning.
The Ottawa County Sheriff Department tells 24 Hour News 8 a vehicle was spotted in a ravine just off of 96th Ave and south of Taft Street Saturday morning.
Authorities found 48-year-old Fruitport resident Randall Dale VanKoevering inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe VanKoevering was going north on 96th Ave when he drifted, overcorrected the vehicle and ran off the roadway. The vehicle hit an embankment in the ravine and overturned.
Authorities believe VanKoevering was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
