HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Holland Department of Public Safety officers were called about 7:04 a.m. May 21 regarding a breaking-and-entering complaint at Protech Automotive, 180 E. 40th St.

Officers arrived and determined the suspects entered the business by breaking out an exterior window.

Once inside the business, the suspects took a small amount of cash and keys belonging to a vehicle that was parked outside the business, police said.

The suspects fled the scene in a 2000 Ford Taurus.

Officers then located this car parked near 24th Street and Waverly Avenue.

Two people were then arrested in the afternoon after police followed some tips in the case.

The suspects -- 32-year-old Cameron Lawson and 31-year-old Jeffery Schutt – were arrested for probation violations. They were arraigned on Wednesday.

Lawson faces charges of breaking and entering with intent as well as receiving and concealing stolen property over $1,000 but less than $20,000. His bond was set at $10,000.

Schutt was charged with breaking and entering with intent, and his bond was set at $10,000.

Police is requesting anyone with additional information to call them at 616.355.1100 or Silent Observer at 1.877.88.SILENT (745368).
