HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Deputies arrested a man who is accused of firing gunshots at his parents' home Friday night.
The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Friday near the corner of 132nd Avenue and Pine Oak Drive in Holland Township.
Investigators told 24 Hour News 8 the gunman got into a fight with his parents, then went outside the home they all live in and fired at it with a shotgun. His parents were not hit by the bullets.
Officers from multiple police agencies were seen searching areas around the residence. They requested assistance from a helicopter with night-vision technology, but it was not available. Officers chose not to search a wooded area near the home because of fear the man may be waiting for them in the dark.
Officials were told on Saturday morning the suspect was seen at his residence. Deputies went to the residence and took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting arraignment.
