HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who "brazenly" robbed a Holland Family Fare gas station, police said.

The suspect walked into the S. Washington Avenue Family Fare Quick Stop Convenience Store around 10:45 p.m. July 12 with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect grabbed a store employee by the hair, pulled her over to the cash register and forced her to open the drawer. He then took an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot before officers arrived.

An Ottawa County police K-9 unit tried to track down the suspect, but it appears he got away in a vehicle. Police do not know if the suspect was the only person in the vehicle. The suspect's hat and shirt were found discarded in a dumpster.

Silent Observer is now offering a $2,000 reward for information leading the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a tall black male between the ages of 18-30, having a muscular build, and wearing black shorts, a gray shirt, a baseball cap, and a black shirt over has face.

A release from Holland police said that detectives have already received tips from the public, but have not yet been able to identify the suspect.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Holland Department of Public Safety at 616.355.1100 or 616.355.1150, Silent Observer at 1.877.887.4536, email authorities at  policetips@cityofholland.com or submit an e-tip at http://mosotips.com.
