Passerby puts out rolled-over car fire

Driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A young man was taken to the hospital after his vehicle rolled and then caught fire.

The accident happened at 32nd Street and Brooks Avenue in Holland at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The 22-year-old man lost control of his vehicle. It flipped, hit a railroad crossing bar and then caught fire.

A passerby put out the fire with water he had in his vehicle.

The 22-year-old was pinned in the vehicle and freed by Holland emergency personnel.

He was taken to Holland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed are considered factors in the crash. It remains under investigation.
