BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 58-year-old Grand Haven Township man died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV at an Ottawa County intersection.

Around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Cletis Burmingham was riding southbound in the area of  48th Avenue and Barry Street in Blendon Township.

The SUV's driver was northbound, stopped at the T-intersection, turned left and pulled into the path of the motorcyclist, police at the scene told 24 Hour News 8.

"We're not sure at this point if the motorcyclist thought she was pulling out in front but he looks like to have taken some evasive action and hit the rear of the SUV," said Lt. Bob Tease of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

Burmingham was wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver was not hurt.

Speed and alcohol are not factors in the wreck at this time, sheriff's deputies said.
